The Congregational Church of Batavia Goods and Services Auction is an elegant, fun event to which everyone is invited and can participate. Whether you are donating, bidding, volunteering or just there to watch, we encourage your attendance. There will be items for every budget, child care, delicious desserts, and a lot of friendly competition all for a good cause.
Item donation
If you are donating an item to the auction, please drop your items off at the church on Saturday, October 22, between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. A list of items being offered in this year's live auction is below. Don't forget that there will be a silent auction for items valued up to $50, as well as some fun raffle items.
Volunteering
If you are not planning on donating any goods or services, but would like to volunteer on the day or evening of the event, please contact Carol Byrd at byrd.carol@gmail.com. We are looking for assistance with running the auction, decorating before the event, kitchen help and desserts for the sweets table.
Attending the Auction
If you are planning on joining us, please RSVP to Julie Knanishu at badger_jack@comcast.net indicating how may people will be attending, if you need child care, for how many children and what ages.
The bi-annual goods and services auction is the church's biggest fundraiser and this year is particularly important. The auction typically raises $8,000 toward the operating budget. Any money raised over that this year will go directly towards lowering the church's $15,000 deficit. We are hoping that with your help we can make this goal a reality.
