What makes Joy of Ireland different, or "Why We Love Our Work."

Founded by co-owners Michael Joy and Richard Kosmacher in 1985, Joy of Ireland has been importing the highest-quality Irish goods and merchandise to locations across the United States for over 15 years.

In 1991, Joy of Ireland opened for business in the beautiful Chicago Place Shopping Center, located on Chicago's "Magnificent Mile" just two blocks south of the historic Water Tower Monument. This recently remodeled, 3,000 square-foot retail space, which now includes the Joy of Ireland Tea Room & Café and a stunning, panoramic view of Michigan Avenue, is the flagship of our business.

With the support of our Michigan Avenue clientele, we've continued to grow and expand our extensive catalog of Irish goods and other custom services. Our success has allowed us to reach customers throughout the Midwest, in states like Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Now, through our web site, we hope to reach customers across the country and establish a national clearinghouse for everything from fine Irish imports to information on festivals, music and cultural events.

In short, we want to give our customers a total, Irish experience!

So with that we offer a hearty "Céad Míle Fáilte," the proverbial "hundred thousand welcomes," and invite you to discover the Joy of Ireland....
