Opening your guest account.

By opening a guest account with Joy of Ireland, you can set your personal preferences for our free e-services, such as subscription to the Joy of Ireland eBulletin and the Joy of Ireland Gift Registry.

You will also be prompted for your billing and shipping address, phone number, credit card information, and email address.

When entering your information, be sure to enter your name and billing address exactly as they appear on your credit card statement. Please include your phone number in case we need to contact you about your order.

Ordering products online and by phone.

Portions of this website remain under construction, but we are working hard to make our entire range of Irish gifts and imports—over 5000 products—available for online viewing and purchasing.

At the present time we are not processing orders online. You may call our Chicago store, toll free in the United States, at 1-800-CELTIC-1 (1-800-235-8421) to place your order by phone. One of our friendly customer service representatives will be happy to provide you with additional information about selection and availability, or arrange for shipping and delivery. (Please call during regular business hours.)

What forms of payment does Joy of Ireland accept?

Joy of Ireland accepts all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diner's Club and Discover), personal checks and company checks. We do not accept cash, money orders, credit vouchers, or c.o.d.'s.

At this time we are not accepting gift certificates for online shopping. However, we anticipate that we will accept gift certificates in the future. Please check our eBulletin for updates.

Pricing, sales tax and order limit policies.

Prices listed in our online catalog are the same as those in our retail store. We do not charge sales tax on orders that ship outside of Illinois. By law, Illinois residents must pay sales tax.

Shipping options, fees and services.

We ship all orders over $50 in value for free to addresses within the continental United States. We can deliver your package to you home or office, as well as to third-party addresses (e.g., your parents' house, children's apartment, etc.)

Standard shipping is United Parcel Service (UPS) ground service, which averages 2-5 day delivery to most locations in the continental United States. For faster delivery, we also offer next-day and second-day air service, upon request.

We are currently only selling to addresses within the 50 United States. We are not taking orders for products that need to be shipped outside of the United States.

We have included a "gift advisor" in this site, a feature we feel you will find truly helpful. Every day, people come into our store and ask us what would make a good present for a particular type of person or for a specific occasion. We always strive to give honest, helpful answers.

We are trying to give our web customers this same level of service and expertise. The Joy of Ireland Gift Finder groups people by age and gender. Our recommendations are of what we consider to be our best and most popular items for the particular person and/or occasion.

We hope you find this feature of our website beneficial, but if you have additional suggestions about how our Gift Finder can be even more effective, we would love to hear from you.

Finding the right size.

How your order is processed.

We need to provide here a brief description of what will happen when a customer submits an order:

1. Customer will receive an confirmation notice by email;
2. Customer will receive within 48 hours (?) a second notice by email indicating:
a. that requested item is in stock
--> order filled
--> shipped
--> credit card debited
b. that requested item is out of stock
--> customer can cancel order, or
--> customer can place item on back order.

Joy of Ireland return policy and quality assurance.

Our online customers enjoy the same return policy as our retail store customers. We include a pre-printed ticket with our return policy and return address in all shipments. All items can be returned within 30 days for a full refund.
